A Passionate Family Tradition

Pete and Traci Antonopoulos, seasoned retail and food industry veterans, launched Pete’s Pizza in Kenridge on September 12, 2013. Having worked in his father’s food business since his school days, Pete was deeply rooted in the trade. Their extensive experience began in Potgieterus and grew after their move to Cape Town in 1997. After successfully managing several food ventures, including a Steers and a Kwikspar, Pete and Traci focused their passion on pizza.

Starting with six staff members, Pete’s Pizza now boasts a dedicated team of 10 full-time and two casual employees. In October 2018, they expanded with a second store in Uitzicht Shopping Centre, employing eight full-time staff. Their retail and customer service expertise has led to their pizza shops’ immense popularity, especially their signature ribs, selling about one and a half tons monthly.

Pete manages the Kenridge store, while Traci and their son Matthew oversee Uitzicht. Their daughter Carli assists during varsity breaks. Pete’s ethos, “there is enough for everyone; it is the service that counts,” reflects their commitment to quality and community, transforming customers into friends.
