Proudly brought to you by Rotary Club of Hermanus and Pam Golding Properties
Join us for an enchanting evening as day transforms into a starry night, ushering in the festive season. This year’s Hermanus Carols will take place on Tuesday, 17 December 2024, at the Attie Bishop Field of Hermanus Sports Club, promising to be even more spectacular than before.
BUY TICKETSSCHEDULE
18:00 – Gates open
18:30 – Father Christmas & Kids Fun Fair
19:00 – Saxophonist Debi Best
20:00 – Nativity pageant & carols
Ticket prices are R100 for adults, R50 for scholars and R25 for children aged 2 to 5. We have introduced a family ticket for R250, covering parents and 2 children.
As in previous years, there will be a Father Christmas & Kids Fun Fair, where younger children can meet “Santa” and partake in festive games. Parents are encouraged to bring a gift for their child, clearly marked with their name, which will be handed to an organiser for Father Christmas to distribute.
We invite attendees to contribute by bringing unwanted, pre-loved toys, which will be distributed to underprivileged children in our community. Donations can also be made beforehand at the Pam Golding Properties offices in Hermanus or Onrus.
Once again, attendees can look forward to the multi-talented saxophonist Debi Best, who trained at the Royal College of Music in London and has performed internationally, including alongside the Three Tenors—Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, and José Carreras. She has also had the honour of performing for Nelson Mandela, Sir Richard Branson, and Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Following this, a nativity pageant produced and directed by René Dewar will take place. A narrator will recount the story of the birth of Christ, with performers enacting the scenes and a choir leading the singing of carols, inviting spectators to join in. The music will be directed by Rita Louw.
Bring your picnic basket with drinks, snacks and a blanket – the hymn sheet lyrics will also be cast on big screens to prompt you with the words. A tent will cover the stage to cater for unforeseen weather conditions and ensure that “the show goes on”.
This event is made possible for the community, by the community.
A heartfelt thank you to our partners, Rotary Club of Hermanus, for organising this spectacular fundraising event and for the wonderful work they do for the community. Proceeds will benefit their Early Childhood Development Centres and contribute to the Bursary Fund for the Overstrand Learning Hub.
This event is proudly sponsored by Pam Golding Properties Hermanus, Hermanus Camino, Mobicred, Bossa Hermanus, Coastal Trusses and Kia Hermanus.
