You’re Invited to the Pam Golding Properties Breast Cancer Awareness High Tea
Two Centuries of Community, One Morning of Hope
Monday 1st of September 2025
An elegant morning awaits at the Pam Golding Annual Breast Cancer Awareness High Tea on 18 October 2025, hosted at the historic Durbanville Town Hall.
A Shared Purpose
More than just a high tea, this is a morning dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer and celebrating the resilience of those affected. With the support of sponsors including Webb Attorneys (venue hire) and members of the Durbanville Wine Valley (sparkling wine), every detail is made possible by a community working together.
As we gather in honour of hope and healing, we also celebrate 200 years of Durbanville, a place defined by heritage, generosity and pride.
A Celebration of Community and Heritage
This year carries added significance as Durbanville marks its bicentennial. Inspired by the town’s history, the morning will feature vintage-inspired décor and touches of local artistry, reflecting the enduring character of the community.
What to Expect
Be welcomed at the amphitheatre entrance by the uplifting notes of a local violinist, followed by background music curated by sound engineer Anrico Saayman.
Guest speakers from the University of the Western Cape (UWC) Breast Cancer Division will share their insights and encouragement, reminding us of the importance of awareness and support in the journey against breast cancer. Attorney Melanie Coetzee will also share her powerful cancer survival testimony.
Each table will prepare a delicious spread of high tea treats for eight guests, with farm-to-table flavours at the heart of it all. Expect locally milled scones, artisanal cheeses, seasonal fruit preserves and pastries that celebrate the region’s produce. A welcome glass of sparkling wine from the Durbanville Wine Valley, along with tea and coffee, is included.
Tables are encouraged to decorate in keeping with the heritage theme. Guests will vote for the most beautifully presented table, with a prize awarded to the winners.
