Do you have a warm hoodie you no longer wear, or gently worn shoes that could keep someone’s feet warm this winter? Spread some warmth ahead of Father’s Day and help Pam Golding Properties, Kloppers Inc and Ford Barlow collect clothing and shoes for those in need.
Pam Golding Properties, Kloppers Inc, and Ford have placed collection bins at their offices to encourage residents to donate warm items of clothing over the next two weeks. “If you have unused winter essentials lying around at home, make use of this opportunity to help keep someone in your community warm,” says Mariël Burger, Pam Golding Properties Area Manager for Durbanville and Surrounds. “In the spirit of Father’s Day, why not give these vulnerable men in our community the gift of warmth?”
The collection drive ends on 17 June when the Pam Golding Properties team and volunteers will hand out warm clothing and a nourishing meal at the MES Centre of Hope at 37 Queen Street in Durbanville. “We will also be handing out gift bags with everyday essentials, so we welcome donations of deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste and soap,” says Burger,
This project is an initiative of Pam Golding Properties’ corporate social investment programme, The Heart of Gold Trust. “The Trust supports worthy community upliftment projects throughout South Africa and Africa,” says Burger.
