The luxury of bespoke design

Customised living spaces give The Glengariff the edge

Sunday 10th of November 2019

Attention to detail, uncompromising luxury and exceptional design are the hallmarks of the interiors of apartments at The Glengariff in Sea Point. And the completion of this development’s first fully-furnished show unit means that potential buyers are now able to experience The Glengariff’s lifestyle of choice for themselves, before the building is ready for occupation.

The show apartment has been styled by Marrow, a bespoke division of Bone Interior Design and an interior design and furnishing service for Cape Town’s residential investment market. Laurie Wener, Pam Golding Properties executive for developments: Cape region, says there is a higher buyer demand for a turnkey product with a fully-finished product.

Marrow has therefore consulted with the developer, in this case Mason Developments, to create customized living spaces in The Glengariff for those who want it.

“Marrow will curate an apartment to exceptional standards, for those who want it, so that it is ready to move in.”

The Glengariff has 38 apartments, of which six are penthouse units, and Marrow has sourced local and imported products to enhance the living spaces and add value. Each apartment has standard fittings and fixtures, supplied by the developer and including imported kitchens and Miele appliances. Marrow provides the décor and furniture to enhance each living space, offering a choice of colour schemes that are customized in line with the building’s overall aesthetic, as well as the unique needs of the owner. Furnished apartments also add value to buy-to-let units, with good quality furniture impacting positively on the rental yield, says Farrel Kelman, Pam Golding Properties agent for the development.

There are a few prime units still available, starting at R3.54 million vat inclusive, says Wener. “With its superb location in the heart of the Atlantic Seaboard, the development is within walking distance of beaches and the beachfront Promenade, as well as a variety of boutiques and restaurants. It is the ideal investment property, with considerable potential for rental income,” she adds.
